Monday Night Summer Darts – June 17th – Results

Yet another GREAT night of darts!  This time we had 18 out for the tournament and the night was just as competitive as ever.  The final was won by Rory McDonal who defeated James Box.  This was Rory’s second win which is impressive considering this was the third night of Monday Night Summer Darts!  Rory defeated Cory Green and James defeated Margie Plumadore in their respective semi-finals matches.  Other players to make it to the playoffs last night were Joe Howie, Ron LaRose, Jason Hennigar, and Chuck Heath.

Special congrats to Margie Plumadore who is the first of the ladies to make the semi-final!  Can’t say anyone was surprised to see her there, she shot outstanding darts and picked up a 180 along the way!

We had a ton of 180s shot last night and, for the first time, someone not name Mike Smith won the Finish Challenge; James Box took out 89 to win it this week.  Complete details are below: ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Just a note to remind you that the hotel room reservation deadlines for the preferred rates for both the Kingston and Chicago tournament are approaching and we don’t want you to miss the chance to get rooms at the preferred rate.
 
Kingston Ontario:  Room reservation deadline date for preferred rates, June 12th. Abassador Conference Resort reservation phone number is 1.613.548.3605.  Group name is Dart Tournament, Event #14288. Preferred rate for Renovated 2 queen bed room begins at $115/night.
 
Chicago, Illinois: Room reservation deadline for preferred rates is, June 29th. Hyatt Regency Hotel reservation phone number is 1.888.421.1442. Group name is Bullseye Marketing – Dart Tournament. Preferred rate for double occupancy starts at $109/night.
 
Just a note, there is a $10,000 warmup tournament, the Kingston Open, on the Friday/Saturday in Kingston and the PDC Championship and Ladies Pro Singles on the Sunday.  Note the Ladies Pro Singles is not a PDC event and Ladies may enter both the Ladies Pro Singles and the PDC Championship if they wish.  Also, if there are more than 32 Ladies entered, the prize money will be increased starting at the top.
 
There are 2 PDC Championships and 2 Ladies Pro Singles in Chicago along with warm-up singles and doubles in Chicago.  Same applies to the Ladies events in Chicago as for Kingston and all the Ladies Pro Singles.  
 
Both tournaments will also feature a Shelti/Radikal electronic darts tournament between events and on Friday afternoon that will have prize money.  Enter on the day or through the Shelti/Radikal web site.

We Have Our First Ever Team Kingston Darts dot Com

Congratulations to George Haines and Jolie Brant who each won their spots on Team Kingston Darts dot Com.  Each have their entries paid into their respective pro shoots on July 14th in Kingston and each will receive a Team Kingston Darts dot Com shirt.

Jolie defeated Samantha Loft (featured in this month’s Kingston Darts dot Com Player Spotlight) while George defeated Phillip Jose.  Everyone played pretty outstanding darts and I really appreciate that everyone came out on the Saturday of a long weekend!

Jolie and George have joined Gus Avent and Judith Smith to form the first Team Kingston Darts dot Com!  Congratulations!!!

The 18th Annual Bob Jones Memorial Tournament Flyer has been released!  I know it’s a ways away, but it’s a great tournament and it’s never too early to prepare!
